Chasing Beautiful Sunrises around the World

“The morning always has a way of creeping up on me and peeking in my bedroom windows. The sunrise is such a pervert.” ― Jarod Kintz.

There is something to the warm rays of sunrise, illuminating the world at dawn, that makes me look at this cyclical and permanent process in nature with a sense of deep wonderment. At dawn, the darkness that envelopes life at night tussles with the impending sunlight for a brief few minutes, in a struggle to continue their domination over earth.  Slowly the horizon, a thin line that separates earth & the sky, begins to take form, becoming bright & illuminated.  The tussle continues and then suddenly, as if by magic, an invisible hand finally decides to take sides in this struggle and pulls the sun across the horizon onto the sky. It feels like the curtain of night has been shifted aside, setting stage for the next part to take place. The darkness fades away and gives way to light. When it has played its part, the battle for dominion happens yet again at dusk. Night wins, only to lose yet again in a few hours.

I love sunrises. Not saying that I am a morning person, but I like the warm rays of the morning sun streaming down my face, nudging me to wake up and charging me up for another day in my life. When life is looking up, the sunrise acts as a positive multiplier, charging me up to seize the day. When life is looking down, it acts as an inducer of hope and optimism, giving me the strength to tide past another seemingly bad day. Watching a sunrise induces in me , a grandiose dose of positivity & optimism. It makes me feel charged up, energized and I look forward to taking on the day with a renewed sense of confidence. It is not a moment for introspection and reflection. It is the moment to plot, plan and take on the day. Each sunrise brings with it new hopes, new joys and new beginnings.

Sunrises are spectacular. Sunrises makes everything look spectacular. Sunrises make spectacular photos. Across my travels, I have tried to capture many sunrises. Each one so beautiful and alluring, each so different than the other.. Here take a look..
